This is a fundraiser for the campaign to protect the Denniston Plateau, which is at risk of destruction from the biggest coal mine in NZ's history. The proposed mega-mine would spew climate pollution equal to New Zealand’s entire annual emissions.

The plants and animals shown are under threat from Bathurst's proposed coal mine that would destroy this unique ecosystem forever. Each of the illustrated species — from the great spotted kiwi to the Powelliphanta snail — calls the Denniston Plateau home.  We need to use every medium we can to make as many people as possible understand the value of the precious Denniston Plateau - so they will take action to protect this place in perpetuity.

We’d love it if you could support the campaign by ordering a t-shirt or tea towel, which are a great prompt for conversations about the Denniston Plateau and the coal mining that puts it at risk. You can find out more on 350 Aotearoa's website: 350.org.nz/coal
